ARMYs Angered After Finding That A Chinese YouTuber Took The Handle “BTS_official“

The story of image abuse as well as piracy has never stopped happening to BTS, though in one way or another. BTS is really something of a catchphrase so anyone would want to benefit from this.

Recently, a Chinese Youtuber took advantage of the name of BTS to direct viewers to his Youtube channel. This person is currently facing a barrage of criticism from ARMYs and other users for doing this.

For any brand or individual, their association with BTS has the potential to help them or their products become famous. But it can be famous in a positive or negative way. Only when BTS actually collaborates or is publicly involved with those brands or individuals will it be enthusiastically supported by ARMYs.

Conversely, in cases where other brands or individuals take advantage of BTS in an unorthodox way or intentionally abuse the group's reputation, they will face a wave of heavy criticism. That is the case of a Chinese Youtuber who deliberately took advantage of the loophole of Youtube Handles to attract viewers.

Specifically, this case began early last month, YouTube introduced "YouTube Handles" and started implementing this new feature from the beginning of November. YouTube handles are another way to identify YouTube channels and "a new way for people to easily find and engage with creators and each other on YouTube."

With this new feature, people can tag artists or creators in comments, and it also shows up on YouTube short videos and other videos. Besides, you can also use it to find related accounts quickly.

BTS' youtube channel used the official name "@BANGTANTV" for its Youtube Handles. And of course, it's a familiar brand, so it's no wonder. However, a problem arose after a Chinese YouTuber was found to have hijacked "@BTS_official" and took advantage of the controller not used by BTS.

It is known that this phrase is the Twitter name of the group, which has been identified for a long time. Users are also familiar with this phrase referring to BTS.

Many BTS fans and even internet users are speculating that the Chinese Youtuber intentionally used "BTS_official" to put anyone searching for BTS on her YouTube page. It is also possible that using this will help her reach more users but this is a sneaky move and adversely affects the group.

As a result, many fans are asking YouTube to remove the processing to avoid any confusion. Hopefully in the future, this issue will be resolved soon to avoid affecting BTS.
