One post by an ARMY that vividly described meeting Jungkook’s father in their hometown drew huge attention from the fandom. This everyday story gave fans a picture of what the members’ families are like and showed why BTS is always praised as idols with golden personalities.

This кσяєαn ARMY visited a restaurant called Gopchang Ssalrong in Busan on February 3, 2023, for lunch. For loyal fans, Gopchang Ssalrong is a familiar restaurant owned by Jungkook’s family. The owner has even witnessed Jungkook’s growth from childhood to adulthood.

Gopchang Ssalrong is also one of ARMYs’ favorite stops when visiting Jungkook’s hometown in Busan, and the OP was no exception. She shared: "Me and Deokme (OP's friend) came here right away because I heard that Gopchang Ssalrong restaurant was open to serve lunch... I was shσcked to see Jungkook's father was here too." 

First, about his appearance, she noted that Jungkook’s father was very handsome and looked much younger than his middle-aged years. The ARMY also commented that Jungkook’s looks are a perfect mix of his father’s and mother’s features. Just one glance at their faces, and it’s obvious whose parents they are.

She also mentioned that Jungkook’s father seemed very healthy and was enjoying a happy life, which made ARMYs feel warm inside.

As for his personality, his friendliness shone through when he warmly chatted with them upon learning they were fans of his son. Jungkook’s father even said that he had watched Jungkook’s livestream but couldn’t finish it because his son had fallen asleep. He jokingly asked the OP how many cans of beer Jungkook had drunk during that stream.

The OP confessed to Jungkook’s father that he had finished two cans of beer—making it seem like Jungkook might get scolded by his dad. This left the ARMY both amused and a little guilty for exposing their idol!

Beside this story, another fan also added what she had observed when she spotted Jungkook’s parents attending a BTS concert. "Jungkook's father looked so young and handsome. He took care of his mother so that she won't feel cold and tired, kept holding her hands tightly until the end of concert.
