The close friendship between the two same-aged BTS members – V and Jimin – has always been famous over the years, not only among fans but even non-fans. Even the famous female rapper and singer Lizzo has repeatedly expressed her great admiration for the more than decade-long friendship between BTS's 95z duo.

Lizzo even spontaneously composed a rap during a live broadcast, inspired by their friendship. She sang: “I love you, you love me, just like Jimin loves some V / Gooey like that butter B / Gooey like that butter B / Say I like you, you like me / BFFs like VMIN, G.”

Meanwhile, the song "Friends" from the album Map of the Soul: 7 – which talks about the long-lasting, close, and deep friendship between the duo, written by both of them – was used as the OST (original soundtrack) for Marvel’s movie Eternals. Director Chloé Zhao pointed out: "This song is done by two of them (Jimin and V). It’s a beautiful song," and for this reason, she chose it for the film.

Therefore, there is never any doubt about the closeness between Jimin and V. However, after a live broadcast on December 16, an unfortunate controversy surrounding the duo arose, stemming from an α¢¢ι∂єитal moment that caught the fans' eyes and was interpreted in many different ways by the crowd. Although the actual story could be far from what some people have αѕѕumed, both Jimin and V faced a lot of malicious attacks.

Specifically, during the broadcast, viewers noticed V holding Jimin's hand when he υиєχρє¢тє∂ly went around Jungkook. This turn caused their hands to separate, but it unintentionally caused Jimin’s hand to turn and his head to bump into Jungkook. After that moment, Jimin appeared to be in pain and rotated his arm as if it hurt.

When the video spread within the fan community, some negative comments led the way, accusing V of acting carelessly. They claimed that he pulled Jimin’s hand without considering the risk of injuring his shoulder. They even said that no true friend would treat their friend this way, concluding that V was aggressive and rude.

On the other hand, some people opposed the accusations against V, arguing that Jimin was the one who tried to hold onto V’s hand and then “pretended” to be in pain to win over the fans. Some even accused Jimin of being manipulative and fake, while V always maintained a pure heart.

In the face of the intense controversy that tarnished the friendship of the 95z duo, ARMYs felt that the story had gone too far. They pointed out that it was just an unfortunate α¢¢ι∂єит, and close friends often joke and play with each other in such ways, not вυℓℓуing or with any ill intent as everyone had wrongly speculated. In the past, there had been many similar interactions between Jimin and V without any issues between them.

Additionally, looking at the expressions of the BTS members, it’s clear that they were not unfamiliar with the playful pranks from the younger members. The interaction was clearly harmless. Furthermore, fans also shared videos showing that V and Jimin continued to interact closely right after the incident. Jimin even smiled fondly at V, patted his head, while expressing his interesting thoughts.

Many people’s harsh reactions had taken the story too far, and the image of the 95z friendship was tarnished. Both Jimin and V did not deserve such negative criticism. Some ARMYs expressed their stance:
