During a live broadcast on Weverse Live titled “BTS Is Back,” the 21st-century pop icons thrilled fans by announcing plans to release a group album in spring 2026, followed by a world tour. The upcoming album and concert with the full lineup marks BTS's return after a four-year hiatus since the anthology album Proof and the Yet to Come in Busan concert — especially significant after the break due to military service.
“Starting in July, we’ll be fully regrouping and focusing all our energy on making music,” leader RM shared more details about their plans. During the live broadcast, BTS also revealed that they would be working on the new album in the United States, further fueling excitement and discussion about their comeback across social media platforms.
As previously announced, both fans and media outlets witnessed the members begin preparing for the new album just days after the historic broadcast.
On July 6, RM became the first member to depart for Los Angeles, USA. He even greeted fans through a spontaneous short live broadcast upon arriving at his hotel.
Next, on July 7, SUGA, Jimin, and Jungkook were spotted at the airport in casual outfits as they departed for Los Angeles. кσяєαn media reported that the trio would reunite with RM once they arrived.
Meanwhile, V, who had just wrapped up his schedule attending CELINE’s fashion show in fяαи¢є, was reported to be heading straight to the group’s song camp in the U.S. j-hope is expected to follow shortly after wrapping up his headline performance at the Lollapalooza music festival in Germany on July 13.
The last member to join the team may be Jin, who is currently on his “Run Seokjin Episode Tour” in נαραи. He is scheduled to arrive in the U.S. on July 17 for a few performances and will coordinate with the other members during this time.
It has been reported that BTS does not plan to return to кσяєα for the next two months. They will be directly involved in brainstorming concepts, shaping the musical direction, and selecting songs for the album.
