As what the Korea median reported, Jin has safely arrived for his military entrance ceremony, officially beginning his 18-month military service.
Before Jin’s enlistment, BIGHIT MUSIC released a formal statement asking fans and media to refrain from showing up to the site of the entrance ceremony out of respect for fellow recruits and their families. They showed their thank you for ARMYs continued support of BTS and update on Jin’s upcoming enlistment into the military.
They also asked for ARMYs' understand that: "Jin will fulfill his required time with the military by enlisting in the army. Please note that we will not be holding any kind of official event on the day of his recruitment.
The entrance ceremony is a time to be observed by military personnel and their families only. In order to prevent any issues that might occur from crowding, we ask fans to please refrain from visiting the site. Instead, we ask you to keep your heartwarming words of support and farewell in your hearts.
We also advise you not to get adversely affected by purchasing unauthorized tours or product packages illєgαlly using artist IP. Our company will take necessary action against any attempts at commercial activity making unauthorized use of such IP."
No more than 50 or so fans showed up on site, as Jin previously requested that fans respect other people and their families also enlisting on this day, and stay home rather than coming to see him off. However, numerous reporters from all over the globe surrounded the training center entrance, hoping to get a glimpse of the BTS member on his way in.
ḳöŕệän celebrities often take a moment before their enlistment to address media and fans outside the training center gates. Out of respect and privacy for Jin and his fellow recruits, BIGHIT MUSIC shared that there would be no special event to see Jin off and requested that well-wishes and messages of support be sent through words.
At around 2 PM on December 13 KST, a group of six black caravans entered the ROK army's new recruit training center located in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-province.
According to reports on this day, all seven members of BTS were on board the six black caravans, including the group's oldest member Jin (30) who was due to enlist for his mandatory military service duties on this day.
Staying true to his word, Jin did not hold a ceremony of any kind, and remained in his vehicle, entering the training center via car. Jin entered the new recruits’ training center at the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon County of Gyeonggi Province on the afternoon of December 13 (KST), sending ARMYs a lighthearted farewell on Weverse a few hours before his enlistment.
Meanwhile, Jin will undergo 5-weeks of basic training beginning with his enlistment on this day, before he's assigned to his army post. The idol will complete his mandatory service duties on June 12, 2024.
