A Popular Music Platform Reveals Yoongi's New Solo Stage Name In The BTS's Chapter 2 Era

Min Yoongi is commonly known by the stage name SUGA when working with BTS or Agust D when producing products related to his mixtape. However, a recent change on Apple Music shows that in the new chapter, Yoongi will not use the name August D for his solo album.

Agust D is not a strange name to ARMYs because it has been associated with SUGA in solo activities such as mixtape. SUGA first introduced the stage name Agust D in 2016 with his first mixtape album.

Currently, SUGA has two mixtapes under this stage name, D-2 and Agust D.

Explaining the meaning of the name Agust D, SUGA once explained that Agust D is a more authentic part of himself and that the music he produces as a solo artist is more "raw" than he does in BTS music, so he named it Agust D.

Besides, Agust D when written backwards will become DT SUGA. "DT" stands for "Daegu Town" - where he was born.

In chapter 2, when the members shared about focusing on and releasing solo albums. ARMYs have been looking forward to SUGA's solo with their official album, just like j-hope or any other member.

Some are curious about whether SUGA will use the stage name SUGA or Agust D for his solo album. However, it seems that Apple Music is providing an answer to this question.

Today, on all music pages and bio of Yoongi on Apple Music has been changed to SUGA. Even August D's music page and his mixtape are credited with the name SUGA instead of Agust D as before.

So it seems that SUGA will take this stage name as a solo artist in chapter 2 of BTS. Some ARMYs also think that in Daechwita, Agust D is gone and the black haired man himself took him out then does that mean SUGA is trying to show the new chapter of himself, all his sides, his faces, merged as one.

This change of SUGA makes ARMYs are looking forward to the super products he will bring. With this new move by Apple Music, it seems that SUGA's solo product will also be coming soon!
