Plagiarism is not a new story in the music industry and the line between plagiarism and non-plagiarism is very fragile. However, right after watching the video of a newly debuted Vietnamese male singer, fans could not help but call out Jungkook and Standing Next To You.
Specifically, a male singer named Gemini Hùng Huỳnh released the song "Chẳng Thể Nhắm Mắt" 1 day ago. Although this is a Vpop song, many ARMYs discovered that not only the melody but also the costumes, camera angles, settings, dance moves... of this song are similar to what Jungkook performed in Standing Next To You.
ARMYs are currently reporting this video to Jungkook's management company while Hùng Huỳnh's producer made a statement that fans could not accept:

Accordingly, the wнιтe T-shirt with the highlight being the neckline detail that Hùng Huỳnh wore in the MV was commented to be identical to JungKook in the choreography version of the MV Standing Next to You. Not only that, from the camera angle, MV concept, storyline to even the choreography of "Chẳng Thể Nhắm Mắt" made people feel bored because it was like "cast" from the famous music product on the Billboard chart.
Not only the visuals, but even the melody of "Chẳng Thể Nhắm Mắt" also made ARMYs angry because they thought it was no different from the illegal Vietnamese cover of the song "Standing Next to You". Fans immediately concluded that Hùng Huỳnh was blatantly "plagiarizing" Jungkook's music product and even reported it to HYBE and Big Hit Music so that the company could intervene:

Not stopping there, after Hung Huynh's debut MV was criticized for being similar to Jungkook's, his producer Kewtiie even made the controversy more tense. The producer of "Chẳng Thể Nhắm Mắt" declared that the reason fans found Gemini Hùng Huỳnh's and Jungkook's songs similar was because both were "inspired" by the "King of Pop" Michael Jackson.
This answer was like adding fuel to the fire when fans thought that this producer accused Jungkook of "plagiarizing" Michael Jackson's music to cover up the plagiarism of this producer and Gemini Hùng Huỳnh. In addition, producer Kewtiie is failing to prove his exclusive music in his newly released product.
Meanwhile, Hung Huynh is a promising young talent of Vpop as he is one of the most popular names after "Anh Trai Say Hi" - Vietnam's top TV show. Gemini Hùng Huỳnh also spent time as a trainee at a кσяєαn entertainment company. In 2023, he participated in the show "Asia Super Young" produced by Youku and TVB, ranking 17th out of 60 contestants. The male artist also revealed that he once refused the opportunity to debut in a Chinese boy band because he wanted to return to Vietnam to start a career.
