People call the success of the ḳöŕệän group BTS "a surprise of world music". These seven boys have created a series of "unbeaten" achievements and become symbols of the success of K-Pop today.
But not only do they have huge musical achievements, BTS is also known as a K-Pop artist with a huge following and the most diverse fan club globally in the past decade. Millions of fans around the world have their own stories about how they first found the boy band and began their journey to becoming loyal fans.
In particular, one man became a fan of BTS after committing a felony and his story is making ARMYs crazy in recent days:
We all know that there is no limit to BTS' ARMY fandom. From children as young as 7-8 years old to 80-90 year olds, from Asians to Westerners,...all cannot escape the charm of globally famous Kpop superstars.
Among most of those fans, the majority of them admire BTS because of their talent and personality and how much the group inspires them. Some were even saved by BTS after days of living in pain and mental exhaustion. Overall, the story of ARMY's first meeting with BTS is very wholesome and sweet.
However, recently, there was a case where fans could not expect that a criminal would fall in love with BTS during his crime. Perhaps, because of this, Jonny Viols' story of becoming an ARMY became viral and loved by ARMYs. Specifically, Jonny Viols shared about the first time he learned about BTS through a federal crime.
Viola is a rising online creator who often posts funny tidbits of his life on social media, attracting au∂ιєnces with his relatable sense of humor. But recently, he posted a video sharing the story of how he has become obsessed with BTS, and particularly SUGA, of late. He started the video by apologizing to someone named Emma, explaining that her mail was mistakenly addressed to his house, and he had opened it despite the package not being his.
Then, he showed the contents of the package, which entirely consisted of multiple photocards and stickers of Suga. He was so mesmerized by Suga’s face that he looked him up and came across BTS. For Viola, it was seemingly a love-at-first-sight case as he put two of the Suga stickers above his drαwєr so that he could “gently make sure that their (his) hair stays parted right down the middle.” At this level, it can be seen how much he is fascinated by the BTS rapper and even ARMYs are surprised by SUGA's charisma.
The creator then regrets opening Emma’s letter, not because mail theft is a felony, but because he could sense himself going down a rabbit hole for BTS. “It started a fire in me that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to put out,” he jokingly lamented.
It's worth noting here that in the US, stealing letter or forging someone else's letter is a crime punishable by imprisonment. Clearly, Viola committed a felony but he doesn't seem to care much about the law. He is immersed in his new obsession with starting love with SUGA and BTS. It makes his story of being ARMY seem the most unique among his fans.
