Since late last month, Severance Hospital announced that the first concert of the MIND band, titled “Shining MINDs,” would officially take place on December 9. This special event brought together performances from children participating in the MIND program — a mental health–support project under the Min Yoongi Treatment Center, funded and supported by SUGA. The program also featured appearances from the SUGA Crew — the group of children he mentors — along with newly arranged versions of several BTS songs.
Although the organizers confirmed in advance that SUGA chose not to attend the performance, likely to avoid drawing attention away from the main purpose of the concert — the children at the Center and their meaningful performances — many ARMYs were still more than willing to purchase tickets to support and enjoy the event.
The Chinese fan — the main figure in the story below — was among those who attended the concert that day. Invited by a fellow fan, she joined the “Shining MINDs” event as a way to soothe her longing for SUGA. Unexpectedly, the trip, which stemmed from such a heartfelt intention, ended up granting her a “gift from above” that any fan would dream of.
According to her account, she happened to encounter Jimin on December 10 — just one day after attending the concert at the Min Yoongi Center. It was also her last day in кσяєα before returning home, and she was not in the best emotional state. Not only did she get to see the idol in person, she was lucky enough that Jimin agreed to take a selfie with her and even chatted with her briefly.
The fan described the situation: “To be honest, I've been reluctant to go out recently because of a lot of things that have happened, both with Yoongi and for my own reasons. But after my friend dragged me to кσяєα for the concert at Yoongi Treatment Center, I found myself мιѕѕιиg Min Yoongi even more. Tomorrow was supposed to be my last day in the country, and I really didn't want to go out, but I was forced to. I couldn't be bothered to put on makeup and was feeling really down.”
She continued: “As it turned out, I met Jimin. He was incredibly gentle, and I teared up the moment I saw him. Jimin thought soмєтнing was wrong and, not wanting to hold him up, I nervously asked for a photo with him. He even comforted me, telling me to be happy every day. I hope he can bring strength to everyone else too.”
The encounter with Jimin happened at a moment when she was emotionally vulnerable and just before she was set to return to ¢нιиα — as if it had been destined. Sometimes, happiness appears in the moments we least expect. After attending a meaningful charity concert by SUGA’s band and experiencing an unbelievable meeting with Jimin, her heart must have been healed in more ways than one by the time she returned home.
