In the Kpop world, the war between fandoms is never stopped because of the fanatical comparison and protection of idols. However, sometimes it is also a topic worth discussing.

Recently, an article posted on pann - one of ̾k̾o̾r̾e̾a's largest online communities has attracted more than 80.000 views with the subject: "THE LEGENDARY EXO FAN". This article narrates an article published around 2014-2015, when EXO is on the top of fame and BTS is starting to become famous.

This article then drew the attention of ARMYs when looking at the reality of the current situation of the two groups:

EXO and BTS are two of the most popular Kpop boygroups when it comes to groups of the same generation of GEN 3. Of course, when it comes to musical achievements, there is always a struggle between groups to compete in terms of achievements in a positive way and so are BTS and EXO but both groups never hate each other.

They always respect each other as colleagues and even have a close friendship. For example, Jimin is close with Kai while V and Baekhyun are good brothers. Even when idols show their friendship, the battle between EXO-L and ARMY fandoms never stops.

It can be called a legend in the war of fandoms when it comes to the incidents of ḟïġḧẗing between fans of both groups. Both sides have their own wrongs and right arguments but in general the battles don't stop.

In recent years, it seems to have changed less due to the maturity of the fans but if you look back at some of the past ḟïġḧẗs, it is really worth discussing. So, an anonymous user on pann retweeted a topic that was hot on pann years ago when EXO fans attacked the members of BTS and claimed that the group's music was just rip-offs of EXO's.

Specifically, the original post mentioned: "Do you guys know what is the most pitiful about BTS?..

From 5 years and 10 years looking back at now,

Nobody would remember anyone aside from EXO

People usually only remember the ones on top

When they reminisce the representative idols of this generation,

They will remember no one else but EXO

All of BTS' records? They're all rip-offs of EXO's...

Their concept? Their musical genre? Even muggles have no idea about it

People only remember things like records, popularity and market power

This is seriously just the fact

I'm not saying that people become singers so they can leave a trace in history, but in the end, EXO will be the only ones who will leave a trace in history...

This article was posted right after HYBE's acquisition of SM, in which it is said that the fortune that HYBE has is largely thanks to the money that BTS earns. It almost means that, BTS was under the name of HYBE and Bang Shi Hyuk bought an entire SM empire in his hands. Therefore, it attracts the attention of fans as well as K-netizens.

Many other ARMYs commented under this thread and said that now when EXO's fans look back, they will be ashamed of what they said about the group before:
