1. Jimin speaking on his past severe diet:

As an idol, appearance is important, so Jimin is self-aware of how much he needs to keep his weight in order to look perfect every time he appears. But it was this that also caused him to overcome the pressure of dieting.

Jimin revealed that at the time "Blood, Sweat and Tears" came out, because he wanted to look handsome and sexier, he went on a strict diet. He even ate only 1 meal a day for 10 days consecutively: "While looking at the mirror during our ‘Blood, Sweat and Tears’ practice, I wanted to become handsome. So I went on a diet where I survived off of one meal for 10 days."

Naturally, Jimin made ARMYs flutter with his visuals but he has to deal with the scary side effects of this. It's that he often faints because he doesn't have enough energy while practicing choreography. And since then, Jimin has never tried this diet again.

2. Jimin revealing that he almost didn’t debut in BTS

It may be hard to believe, but the current all-powerful Jimin was almost kicked out of BTS' lineup before debuting. Jimin once confessed that his dancing skills used to be a weakness that made it difficult for Jimin to blend in with the vibe of an idol group. He shared: "I majored in contemporary dance. Since the style of dancing was totally different than the choreography of an idol group, it became a difficult challenge for me."

Even some staff at Big Hit Entertainment, BTS's management company, don't want Jimin to join the group: "(I can’t say their names) but there were a lot of people who opposed me (joining the team)". However, this did not stop Jimin, as he continued to work hard and was able to debut as a member of BTS.

3. Jimin talking about how he used to not be able to relieve his stress

Being an idol also means less privacy and more pressure. As a result, Jimin was often experiencing stress but there was no way to relieve it. He recounted: "Since last year, I’ve been going out and hanging out with my friends more often. Before, I used to think, ‘I’m going to live in the practicing studio. I’ll rest in the studio, and I’ll sleep in the studio".

He also added: "After living like that for a while, I suddenly thought, ‘What else am I doing besides performing?’ I realized I never thought to relieve my stress, but I soon found out that meeting the people I want to meet is my way of relieving stress."

Later, Jimin shared that he has learned to hang out with his friends more often and take care of himself in his free time. Meeting people helps him to reduce his psychological pressure and feel more comfortable. It's also a way to help him focus better at work: "After going out, I’m able to better focus on my work. To sum it all up, I’m good at having fun."
