3/7 BTS Members Refuse To Use This Instagram Feature But ARMYs Cheer For Their Action

Since announcing the promotion of individual activities in the new era, BTS members have launched many solo contents, including operating personal Instagram accounts.

This is also a way for each member to interact directly with their fans. Along with that, ARMYs can update many activities as well as interesting images of members more often. BTS members' Instagram accounts have become valuable storage for fans.

However, some members also restrict some features on their Instagram accounts. This may make it harder for ARMYs to interact with them, but on the contrary, fans accept and cheer for the members' actions for a number of reasons:

It's been 2 years since BTS established their personal Instagram accounts and since then, the group's members have brought perfect interactions to fans. Because in the past, BTS used to share a Twitter account and this was the only way for ARMY to interact directly with the members on SNS, so when the members operate Instagram, ARMYs have more interesting things to update.

However, unlike the accounts of many other celebrities, BTS members have some restrictions on their Instagram accounts. Typically, since the launch of personal accounts, group members have turned off the feature where everyone can comment below their photos. Only 6 members of BTS (before Jungkook deleted his account, there were 7) can do this to each other's accounts.

This makes it harder for ARMY to interact directly with members than on Twitter, but it also ensures members don't receive toxic comments. But that's not all, when paying close attention to the BTS members' accounts, many people realized that these boys had refused certain features on their Instagram accounts.

One of the features that many people realize that 3 out of 7 members do not use is DM - direct messages on personal Instagram accounts. It is known that 3/7 members have closed this message including: Jimin, V and Jungkook, of course, who has deleted his personal Instagram account forever.

This was allegedly done after receiving a lot of spam messages from many people and from all over the world. Although there may be warm messages and kind words from fans in there, there are certainly also many messages with negative content.

Not only that, members may feel uncomfortable and bothered by constantly receiving hara̾s̾sing messages. Furthermore, if they want to interact with fans, they can do it on Weverse - where it is safer and fans are much more polite.

Next, another feature that BTS members also do not allow is not displaying tagged photos on personal accounts. This is Instagram's long-standing feature to enhance user experience. 3 out of 7 members who do not use this feature are Jin, SUGA and Jimin.

Therefore, when anyone tries to post a photo and tag a member, the photo will not appear on their Instagram. Many netizens believe that being tagged too much in posts that are not even related to them, or controversial posts by anti-fans, will affect the psychology of the members. Many kσrєαn actors and stars also choose this ṃệẗḧod to limit seeing negative things.

It can be seen that SNS is a place where BTS can get closer to their fans, but it is also a place where they can be influenced by people who are not polite. So, the more negative things you can limit, the better your life is.

Meanwhile, this action of the members received a lot of support from ARMY:

- I hope the rest of the members do the same

- It’s better that way I hope the rest do same

- Good it's for their own privacy

- I'm curious if any armys dm'd them. Hope not

- You'll b surprised to know many ARMYs write in the members DMs as if its their personal diary

- hope the other members do the same

- were they open before? glad they closed

- as they should!

- Disabling comments and dm is the best thing bts did , i hope rest of the members close their dms too forever

- i never know their dm was open

- As they should!! I hope the others do it too

- Thank god! Even though it was my safe place to share stuff when I'm down 90 % of the dms the boys get would be from creeps! I'm happy they closed them!

- I'd say that's the best decision
