Fans all know that BTS members are limited in using their personal Instagram accounts during this time. This is due to regulations in the m̷i̷l̷i̷t̷a̷r̷y̷, specifically not allowing new recruits to be active on SNS within the first month of enlistment.
Therefore, the personal Instagram accounts of RM, Jimin, V or Jungkook do not have any new updates while it is rare to see Jin, SUGA or j-hope updating regularly. However, recently ARMYs also discovered that in addition to Instagram, 2 members of BTS have reactivated a long-forgotten SNS.
This makes fans curious, excited and emotional. Even one of the two members above has a member who just joined the army:
For ARMYs, social networks have long been the most effective m̾e̾t̾h ̾od of communication between them and BTS. Fans can update daily life, new releases or news from the members and vice versa, BTS can read the thoughts or opinions from fans.
However, since the members fully enlisted, fans cannot do that on a regular basis. While Jin or j-hope can only post on personal SNS on days off or holidays, SUGA seems to disappear on SNS to avoid complicated problems during his m̷i̷l̷i̷t̷a̷r̷y̷ service.
More specifically, newly enlisted members like RM, V, Jimin and Jungkook live completely isolated from social networks because they are not allowed to use SNS during basic training. It even includes video calling with family or friends. They can only make regular phone calls, text messages or surf the web for 1 hour per week on their days off.
However, recently, fans discovered that even though the members were restr1cted by m̷i̷l̷i̷t̷a̷r̷y̷ regulations, some of them used their rare phone time to visit an SNS that had been forgotten fan. That is BTS's official fan cafe (Daum Cafe or Kakao cafe). The Daum cafe is a place with strict sign-up conditions. It is a place that has been forgotten because all fandom systems have been moved to Weverse for a long time. However, it is a precious place where ARMY, who have protected BTS for a long time since 2013, have communicated with the members.
All BTS members are signed up here even before their debut. But it is a long time they are not active on here. If you don't log in for a long time, there's a story that the character is sleeping. According to capture, Seokjin's character was sleeping on Dec. 15, 2023 while V was considered to be inactive since 2019. However, as confirmed today, their characters are awake. This means that they recently logged in again.
Not only that, Jin also posted a long post on this SNS account when he first appeared on it. The article was posted quite early, even before BTS debuted in June 2013, and now, it is being mentioned again after fans saw Jin showing signs of being active again on this SNS.
When seeing V and Jin return to the fan cafe, fans felt extremely excited and happy. Especially V - who is being restricted from using SNS during the first period of his enlistment:
