15 Scammers and Troublemakers Arrested at BTS Concert in Chile, Police Chief Full of Praise for ARMY

BTS met with more than 60,000 fans at each sold-out show during their three-night concert series in Santiago, Chile, a city they visited for the first time in nine years since 2017, creating an explosive and electrifying celebration.

The enthusiasm of the local fans was so impressive that BTS had nothing but praise for them. During the final show, Jimin expressed his affection for the au∂ιєnce, saying, “I’ll never forget how much you guys in Chile love us.” Jungkook promised, “Since the past 3 shows were so unforgettable, I think we have to come back again. When we come here again, pls make sure to cheer for us as loudly as you did this time! I was mucho mucho (very very) happy.”

Notably, the local fans’ enthusiasm was evident not only in the two hours they spent cheering pαѕѕionately for BTS but also in their behavior in public spaces, earning high praise from the chief of ρσℓι¢є for the western sector of Chile’s Metropolitan Region.

According to multiple media outlets, including Chilean television channel T13, on October 17 local time, Chilean ρσℓι¢є carried out security operations around the National Stadium in Santiago in connection with BTS’s concert. The operation resulted in 15 arrests, along with more than 2,500 identity and vehicle checks.

At a press conference that same day, General Alex Bahamondes, head of the Western Metropolitan Region of the Chilean ρσℓι¢є, offered unprecedented praise to ARMY. He stated, "I want to highly evaluate and commend the behavior of ARMY. They acted exceptionally well, and thanks to them, there were no issues with public order."

According to Bahamondes, despite the huge crowds gathering around the venue before the performances, fans remained orderly and cooperated well with law enforcement. Although reports of arrests emerged around the event area, local ρσℓι¢є did not generalize or condemn the entire fan community. Instead, they praised ARMY for their mature and responsible concertgoing culture.

However, among the 15 people arrested, only one was detained on suspicion of fraud, while the specific reasons for the other 14 arrests have not been disclosed. It has also not been confirmed whether all of those detained were concertgoers attending BTS’s show. General Bahamondes also reminded fans to be especially cautious when purchasing concert tickets to avoid falling victim to scams.

Positive recognition of ARMY has also come from other local authorities. Chile’s Investigative Police (PDI) publicly praised BTS fans for their cooperation during immigration procedures at airports and border crossings with Argentina, Bolivia, and Peru. Officers noted that fans traveling across borders to Chile had actively complied with entry procedures and demonstrated orderly behavior.

Notably, the local Police Band also prepared a special musical tribute to BTS during the group’s time in Chile. On October 16, they performed the group’s нιт song “Dynamite” at a square near the La Moneda Presidential Palace. According to T13, a ρσℓι¢є representative explained that the performance was organized to thank concertgoers for their respectful and orderly behavior during BTS’s first night in Santiago.

The official recognition from Chilean ρσℓι¢є, combined with the tremendous success of the concert series, has filled local ARMY with pride and earned a wave of praise from fans around the world. The sight of huge, pαѕѕionate crowds in Santiago maintaining order and behaving responsibly once again demonstrates the positive concert culture of genuine BTS fans. It is an example worth learning from for other fandoms!
